   Dr. Gary Cook is a Board Certified Periodontist in Orlando, FL. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and his Periodontics training at the National Naval Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland. As a naval officer, CAPT Cook was the Periodontics Department Head at numerous duty stations, directing their periodontics and implant training programs. He cared for service members and their families while stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, Iwakuni, Japan, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the USS Holland (AS-32), Charleston, South Carolina and Orlando, Florida. While stationed in Charleston, he taught as an adjunct faculty in the Periodontics Department at the Medical University of South Carolina Dental School.

   Following his military service, Dr. Cook established an active periodontics and implant practice in Orlando, providing quality care to his patients. He is a leader in the dental community having served on the Board of Directors of the Dental Society of Greater Orlando for over a decade. Dr. Cook can always be found among the volunteers at the numerous charitable dental events in Orlando. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.

   Dr. Cook volunteers as the Director of Periodontics of the Dental Residency Program at the Orange Blossom Family Health Care Center in Orlando. He trains dental residents in the art and science of periodontology as part of a 2-year General Practice Residency Program. Dr. Cook also serves as a member of the Community Outpatient Staff at AdventHealth Central Florida Division.

   An Eagle Scout himself, Dr. Cook proudly served as an Assistant Scoutmaster in Boy Scout Troop 62 of Winter Park, Florida for many years. Dr. Cook is married to Dr. Gloria Cook, a concert pianist and professor of music at Rollins College. When not in the office or participating in community service activities, Dr. Cook is an avid gardener, raising vegetables and a wide variety of fruit trees.
